Secure R&D funding with Orestify's expert grant writing services.

Why expert help secures grants:

Securing R&D grants is highly competitive, with success rates often as low as 10% to 20% in major programs like Horizon Europe. A skilled grant writer can greatly improve the chances of success by tailoring proposals to meet funding criteria and effectively highlight the project’s innovation and impact. Their expertise enhances application quality, positioning proposals to stand out and increase the likelihood of securing funding.

How to apply for grant funding

Applying for grant funding involves a multi-step process that begins with identifying grants that align with your project’s goals.
This is followed by crafting a detailed proposal that outlines your project’s objectives, methodology, and potential impact, emphasising alignment with the funder’s priorities.

Hiring a grant writing consultant can significantly enhance this process by providing expertise in developing persuasive proposals that meet specific criteria and improve your chances of success.
The proposal then undergoes a review, and if approved, careful management ensures compliance with funding conditions. Engaging with a grant writing consultancy can simplify navigating this complex landscape, maximising your potential to secure funding.

R&D Grant Specialist Writing

We’ll work together to define the objectives of your R&D project, as well as the key tasks and timeline needed to deliver it. I’ll then, with your input and frequent feedback, write your grant proposal. This is usually delivered within a month’s time.

The fee for grant writing is as follows:

  • Upfront fee + % of awarded grant

  • €2000 + 3% for grants €200K - €500K

  • €4000 + 2% for grants €500K - €1M

  • The above fees are indicative and flexible.

I have an extremely broad scientific background and can quickly bring myself up to speed to whatever your R&D innovation may relate to.

Having a grant-writer who understand your science is the main differentiator for Orestify.

Finally, I only work on projects where I feel I can deliver a significant impact.

Once you win the grant and need to start assembling your R&D team, I am available to join your company on a fixed-term consultancy basis and work with you to get everything set up in the right way.

The subscriptions are as follows:

Paid monthly, 3 months minimum contract

  • It really depends on the size of the project. Typically we should start talking two months before the deadline.

  • It depends, but usually there is a large part of the grant paid upfront, and then follow-up instalments are paid after the project passes annual technical and financial reviews.

  • R&D funding grants are extremely competitive. We recently applied for a grant alongside 57 other projects, but only 3 will be awarded. That means we need to score close to 100% to even stand a chance. Any good proposal can score 70-80%, especially with the help of AI and LLMs like ChatGPT. However, to get into the +90%, one needs to “tick all the boxes” and wow the reviewers. This is where an expert grant proposal writer can make a difference.

  • Yes, start-up companies can apply for grant funding. Many grant programs are designed specifically to support innovation and growth in start-ups.

  • Yes, depending on the grant size, time, and support needed. It's common to discuss pricing upfront with the grant writing service provider.

  • An innovative project suitable for grant funding introduces a novel idea, product, or service that addresses a significant problem or market need in a new or substantially improved way. Do you think you have a project worth funding? Get in touch.

  • The contribution required from your company varies by grant program but typically involves a match funding rate paid in staff-time or resources, in the range of 0-40% of the total  project cost.

  • A typical grant application involves substantial time and work, including project planning, budgeting, partnership formation, and the creation of detailed project narratives and supporting documents. It’s not an exercise that can happen in the background. I will work with you making this process effective and efficient, however your input and participation is irreplaceable.

  • University professors are usually open to industry collaborations. However it is important to approach them in the right way, while also setting clear agreements on how such a collaboration would function.

  • Yes, individuals can apply for grant applications on their own, especially for grants targeted at solo researchers or small projects. However, collaboration or professional assistance may enhance the application's strength.

  • Once you submit a grant application, it undergoes a review process which may include evaluations by experts, revisions to the proposal, and finally, a decision. If successful, contract negotiations and project setup follow.

  • "Grant funded" refers to projects or initiatives that receive financial support from grant programs, typically provided by government bodies, foundations, or other organisations.

  • Managing grant funds requires careful budgeting, adherence to funding guidelines, regular reporting, and transparent accounting to ensure the funds are used as intended for the project’s success.
